Description

Hydrocare – HydroFiber Dressing is a dressing composed of sodium carboxymethylcellulose microfibers. It is soft, sterile, user-friendly and highly absorbent. Sodium carboxymethylcellulose fibers retain the wound’s exudate and convert it into a translucent gel, which can absorb up to 25 times its weight in fluids, thus creating an ideal moist healing environment. Hydrocare has hydrophilic action that retains fluid by forming a gel around the fibers. It promotes autolytic debridement and is easy to remove, causing little or no damage to the newly formed tissue. The differential of Hydrocare Dressing is to allow the passage of oxygen and moisture, optimizing healing and ensuring the protection of the covered area. Sterilized to Ethylene Oxide

Application

Hydrocare is indicated for moderate to severe oozing wounds, without infection, with or without bleeding (controls minor bleeding), with or without necrotic tissue, cavity wounds (use tape), 2nd degree burns. Under the supervision of a healthcare professional, Hydrocare can be used to treat chronic and acute wounds such as: • Leg ulcers, pressure injury (Stage II-IV) and diabetic ulcers • Surgical wounds (postoperative, donor, dermatological excision) • Second degree burns. • Surgical wounds to heal at first intention, such as dermatological, vascular or orthopedic incisions • Care for surgical or traumatic wounds that have been left to heal by second intention
